Image rotation is supported and can be done automatically or manually by the user.

Manual rotation is supported in Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and later, and automatic rotation is supported in Android 7.0 (Nougat) and later.

AutoRotate is an extension of the existing "Picture Mode" feature, and the relationship is as follows.

Android 5.0 below

auto-rotation in only picture mode

Android 5.0 ~ 7.0 below

auto-rotation in picture mode, manual rotation

Android 7.0 and above

auto-rotation, manual rotation

Auto-rotation is a feature that uses information contained in the picture to automatically rotate the picture (applies to JPEG, WEBP, HEIC picture files) and is enabled in the "Settings - ImageViewer - Image Other options".

The image below shows an example with the user's manual rotation applied and a combination of both.

Manual rotation has some limitations.

- Not work in PDF

- Not work in 'Split into Two'

- No work in 'Two at a time'

- Not work in animations

(vertical-scroll, horizontal-scroll, webtoon-scroll)

- Not work in Animated Image
